Fruit of the Spirit

Did Christ say that you would know a Christian by their fruits? The Republican party has tried to claim that they are the party of God. Let’s see how they stack up after 6 years in control.

Love
45 states have passed bans that allow discrimination against gays and lesbian who simply want legal protection of their assets, medical decisions and families.

Joy
Baptist minister Phelps shouts anti-American and gay slurs at the funerals of soldiers.

Peace
Two major wars are waging under the leadership of the USA--one without any factual justification or threat to American freedom.

Patience
The country of Iraq was attacked before inspectors were allowed to finished their review and search for weapons of mass destruction. None were found before or after the attack.

Gentleness
How many innocent people have been killed in Iraq due to the arrogance and bullying of the President?

Kindness
Prisoners of war were/are tortured by US military personnel on bases specifically located in areas that allow torture.

Civil Right Voting Act of 1965 was blocked for renewal by Republicans.

Goodness
There are more Republican scandals than any other administration on file.

Faithfulness
While a large section of the elderly and poor in America have no medical insurance, the current administration feels it is more important to set up a Religious-democracy in Iraq than help those in the United States.

Self-control
The national deficit and spending is at a record high of $8,395,341,315,541.52 and growing at a rate of $1,759,000,000.00 a day.

The Bush administration illegally spies on American citizens without a warrant.

Dogs, Fleas and Republicans

The odd adage goes, " He who lays (or lies in this case) with dogs; with fleas, wakes up."

What exactly does Cheney do? We never hear from him unless he has shot someone or is sick. Now he is in South Caroline, the state that started the Civil War by defending their right to have slaves (under the disguise of State's Rights), promoting another lying, hypocritical, self-serving, rich Republican.

I would be wary of any candidate that Cheney supported; they can't be honest or decent.

Bush Knows Best

Headlines read, "Bush Confident Iraq will Avoid Civil War".

Less than 23 hours later the president of Iraq warned of civil war.

Maybe Bush knows something about Iraq that the Iraqi president doesn't know. Maybe Bush's little war is not turning out like he wanted. Maybe it is not the responsibility of the United States to proactively and forcibly attempt to change other countries to a similar government like the US. Maybe this is all a ironic game in that the US is actually being turned in to a different kind of government away from Democracy. Hmmmmmm.

Bush and a small group of his "administration" under the curtain of secrecy craft most of the new "laws", break those they do not like and fear no repercussions. Anyone who disagrees with them is jailed, removed or labeled a traitor to freedom. Sounds like the United States had adopted more of a Saddam regime than Iraq has adopted democracy.

Frist for President 2008

Oh look, the poster-child for Republican greed and corruption is the front runner for the GOP presidential nomination in 2008.

I couldn't be more pleased. I wish him the best of luck in securing the nomination.

Another "Intolerable Act"

Well George the Lesser has convinced his nobles to draft legislation to make his spying legal after-the-fact. Of course this was all some behind closed doors and Cheney the Hypocrite oversaw the process.

How is it that Congress has sunk so low that they don't even keep Check and Balance on the Executive branch anymore? Have we become so corrupt that party lines are more important than the American Constitution?

It appears so.

We are a nation bankrupt both morally and financially. The Republicans have proven that they are neither morale nor Christian. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,..." Galations 5:22.

Let's check the scorecard:
1. Love: Thousands of innocents people killed in wars based on a lie, gays and lesbians discriminated against and lost rights, Katrina victims were ignored until it made the president look bad.

2. Joy: Just look at Dick Cheney again then look at Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton for that matter; they are always smiling

3. Peace: America has not been this divided since the Civil War; and speaking of war, we one without reason.

The list goes on and so does the corruption. It is time we take a stand and reclaim what is America.

George the Lesser Lying in Louisiana

I guess the GOP machine is putting pressure on little George. He appears to care about the people of Louisiana now that it is an election year and the videos have been released that proved he knew of the potential devastation and yet he chose to take another vacation.

He is requesting billions of dollars to repair the levies and build houses for these individuals who lived through his indifference during Katrina. I suggest he also help them get descent jobs too.....oh, those are being sent to India like our nuclear information.

The irony is that the Europeans who landed on the North American continent thought it was India. The way things are moving, they are not far off.

Taking Texas Back without Delay

Well, well, well, it appears Tom "the crooked" Delay gets to run again after outspending four other Republican candidates in the primaries.

Texans, while my people, will never cease to amaze me. Look at Tom! He is soft, pudgy and appears to wear more make-up than Tammy Faye. Not to worry, this will only make it easier for the Democrats to win. I would like to thank all the "ignernt" folk who helped make this happen.

Republicans Need Gays!!!

I am sure that Republicans wake up every morning, get on their knees and thank the Lord that there are Hell-bound abominations known as homosexuals. Otherwise, they would have nothing to use in their political campaigns.

Take for example the 2004 Presidential election; how many "undecided" states were also voting on a gay marriage ban? All of them. The strategy worked; and in all cases, the Republicans won within single digits. Now that is over and nearly all states who are small-minded enough to march down the path of legalized discrimination have passed the laws.

With 2008 coming up, it is imperative that the followers of George the Lesser have a strong platform to force in another puppet. I suppose the Reds could talk about:

-The huge deficit
-The increase in deaths in Iraq and the new data that 26% of Iraqis want us there
-The number of Republicans who support special interest groups depending on the size of their campaign contribution.
-The fact that George the Lesser is crapping on the Constitution and invading Americans civil rights while sending all our hard-earned money to the Middle East who considers us the devil
-The cut in aid to the elderly and children in America only
-The sale of national park land to help fund a tax cut for the top 1% of Americans.
-Cheney drinking at lunch (on a work-day) then shooting his hunting partner while they were killing innocent birds without a license
-Republicans passing legislation that require ID cards to vote (Jim Crow anyone?)

No, no, no.......we need to address the real issue......it will sound something like this:

Gays Trying to Adopt. These evil, vile creatures had the audacity to want committed, legal relationships and they were stopped. Whew! Now 'homosecshuals' want to help battered and abandoned children. Will their wickedness ever end? Vote for a conservative, moral, family-focused Republican. We kill, drink, lie, steal, love Jesus and don't like anyone who ain't like us. We are America".

Ludicrous.

There is no logic!

Okay so Bill lied about having "sexual relations" with another woman and he gets impeached.....

Bush's Record so far:
1. Thousands of innocent Americans and foreign citizens killed based on a blatant lie.
2. Illegal wire-tapping of American citizens breaking myriad of laws.
3. Payoffs given to reporters to supply false articles supporting the administrations stances...this was with tax payers' money.
4. The largest deficit in American history.
5. Selling of National forests to raise money so he can justify given the top 1% permanent tax cuts.

or Cheney:
1. He illegally released proprietary, classified information to sabotage a CIA agent who didn't agree with the current administration.
2. He gives no competition contracts to halfhearted where he stands to make some serious money.
3. He shot a man at 30 yards....and wasn't even supposed to be hunting the birds....Isn't that illegal?

The hypocrisy is overwhelming and yet there are still those who vote for these liars because they are moral. Open your eyes people....

I guess I now understand how the anti-Christ will lead so many astray....most people do not think for themselves....or they just think of themselves.

Rooting Tooting Shooting.....oooops

Well, well, well......it appears that Cheney the hypocrite was out hunting for some grub to feed his family....or just killing animals for sport; and he shot a very wealthy Republican lawyer. Just a few point that strike me funny here:

1. Why was he hunting on a workday with such poor health?
2. Why didn't he have a license to hunt these animals?
3. How did he shoot someone that was only 30 yards in front of him?
4. Is the lawyer going to sue? That would be funny.

Moral of the Event: If you are a member of the current administration you really don't have to follow the laws if you want to do something; especially if it involves killing.

Here We Go Again....the Gay Smoke Screen

As it draws near to another election period, the mindless, corrupt puppets of George the Lesser are reintroducing the Marriage Amendment. The only purpose of this move is to create a smoke screen over the real issues of the all the corruption, greed, scandals and irresponsibility that the Republicans have unleashed.

Here is an interesting article from PlanetOut. http://www.planetout.com/news/article.html?2006/02/14/2

Bush Saves America!!!

LOL.....Another obvious propaganda ploy by the White House.

George the Lesser announced today that the Liberty Tower in LA was saved because he and his cronies illegally invaded Americans' civil rights.

The funny part is that the building is the "Library Tower" not the "Liberty Tower". If he was so involved in stopping this dastardly deed, then he should at least known the building's name.

He is just making up propaganda to justify breaking the law; thus, the name Liberty Tower.

Enough Said

Friday, February 03, 2006

Consider These 3 Thoughts

(1) Zero Gravity

When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ball-point pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat this problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion developing a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside-down, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 300 C.

The Russians used a pencil. Your taxes are due again--enjoy paying them.

(2) Our Constitution

"They" keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq. Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, and it's worked for over 200 years.

And, we're not using it anymore."

(3) Ten Commandments

The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a Courthouse is that you cannot post
"Thou Shalt Not Steal,"
"Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery" and
"Thou Shall Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians .

It creates a hostile work environment.

Republican Math - Just Ludicrous

Now math is not my best subject, cuz I am nothing but a liberal, Left-wing Democrat; but if my memory serve me correct, Bush's budget word problem doesn't pan out.

************
Question: How can we reduce the deficit by $40 billion over the next 5 years?

A. Cut $40 billion from Medicare, children's insurance programs, raise higher education loan interest rates.
B. Give the wealthy $70 billion tax reduction; this will lower the amount of taxes collected.
C. Spend $439 billion on the war in Iraq in 2007.
D. All of the above.
************

If you picked D, you are correct according to the answer sheet of the Republicans.

Here is the math:
- $ 40,000,000,000 Unecessary Social programs to Non-Republicans and poor people
+$ 70,000,000,000 Rich Friend Discount
+$439,000,000,000 Helping countries that did not ask us to interfere
______________
$469,000,000,000 Increase in Deficit at the Middle and Lower Income Americans Expense

Oh my....that is different than what George the Lesser promised.....well......"These colors don't run"......"I am proud to be an American"........"They have weapons of mass destruction"......God Bless America." Now what was the question?

Luckily the teachers required to teach to "No Child Left Behind" are not politicians.

More Terrorist!

Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, anyone who doesn't think like me!

I think thou does protest too much Mr. Bush.

You wanted free elections in Palestine, you got it. Just because they didn't pick your choice doesn't mean you can start threatening them too. Because of the reckless meddling of the current administration, I predict the Middle East will be in completely tumultuous state before this president leaves--worse than when Bush started interfering.

Why is it that "w" continually feels that is it our responsibility to "save" the people of the world from their own beliefs and countries. They aren't asking us to rescue them. I suppose Bush would have been very popular during the Inquisition or while Europe was "educating" the American Indians.

If "w" would only care half as much for his own people. He stayed on vacation while the South was destroyed by a hurricane for God sakes. He is lowering taxes on the wealthy and placing the burden on the middle class and their children. He is destroying US natural refuges for logging and drilling while pseudo-speaking "alternative" fuels. He is more concerned with the unborn while people die everyday from poverty and disease here is the United States.

George W. Bush is truly un-American and the worse president (next to Buchanan) in US history.

Wire-tapped and Bush-whacked!

The headlines read, "Bush Confident Warrantless Wiretaps Legal".

Does anyone else find this punny? Another way of say "warrantless" is unwarranted. I like the sound of that better myself.

Bush: Seldom in Doubt, Often Wrong.

He Who Lies with Dogs, Wakes Up with Fleas

"I, frankly, don't even remember having my picture taken with the guy. I don't know him," Bush said at his first solo news conference in two months.

So Bush does not remember Abramoff, but he has pictures he won't release; and he made him a "Pioneer" member for raising at least $100,000 for Bush's campaign......please.....

Sounds like another president on which the Republicans showed no mercy--"I never had sexual relations with that woman." Sound familiar.

It is time the Ass Kicks Back!!! Hee Haw!

Tuesday, January 24, 2006

Franklin had it Right, and Bush has it "W"rong.

"Those who would sacrifice Liberty for Security deserve neither." B. Franklin

If Bush and his administration feel that they can "take the law into their own hands" in the name of security, they are no better than the terrorists they oppose in the name of freedom. Posted by Picasa

Another Example of Bush's True Colors

The United States voted with Iran, Zimbabwe, China, Cameroon against granting a hearing for the application. ECOSOC status allows NGOs to attend UN meetings and speak in their own name. The Council already has participation from labor and social rights groups.

The governments of Iran and Zimbabwe are considered to be among the most repressive anti-gay regimes in the world.

President Mugabe of Zimbabwe has long scapegoated and persecuted gay men and lesbians. The recently-elected president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has overseen an anti-gay campaign in recent months, in which many young people accused of homosexual acts reportedly have been executed.

"It is an absolute outrage that the United States has chosen to align itself with tyrants — all in a sickening effort to smother the voices of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people around the world," said Matt Foreman, executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.

Well, here is my work family. From left to right we are: Chris (me), Jean (my boss), Trent and Kianna. It is rare that we get to actually see each other in person so we had to get a photo.

Bush is a Liar and Hypocrite

"You believe as I do that every human life has value, that the strong have a duty to protect the weak and that the self-evident truths of the Declaration of Independence apply to everyone, not just to those considered healthy or wanted or convenient," Bush told the anti-abortion marchers.

This is a quote from out most hypocritical president "w". He feels that the unborn have the rights that are laid out in the Declaration of Independence even if they are not "healthy or wanted or convenient."

Funny, I guess you have to be "unborn" to get these rights. It appears that "w" has tried with all his might to ensure that gays and lesbians do not share these rights. I would speculate that his most loyal audience would condsider being gay not healthy, not wanted or not convenient.

So does this mean that the anti-abortionists will now be champions for the Bill of Rights? I hardly thinks so. They usually champion issues where the recipient has little or no voice to give updates on the progress.

Caribbean Vacation

We left for Akumal on January 2 for 8 days of no phone, dsl, emails, conference calls or action items.

Akumal Mexico in located about an hour and a half south of Cancun. Small town, no big hotels or night clubs....just sand, trees and peace and quiet.

Here are the photos from the plane. The first one is the shot of downtown Dallas as we left; and the one on the right, the coast line of the Caribbean. Posted by Picasa

Transportation and Housing in Akumal, Mexico

Yes, you are correct, we crammed 5 adults with luggage (maletas) into a Jeep Wrangler. Even though we looked like the Beverly Hillbillies of Texas, the funniest part the three heads sticking out of the top of the Jeep.

It only took and hour and a halt to get to Akumal from Cancun...luckily I was driving.

Our house was in Akumal on Half Moon Bay. It is called Casa del Mar. Posted by Picasa

Deep Sea Fishing

Well, we did make it out fishing. Luckily we waited for the windiest and roughest day on the ocean to go out on a little boat. After hours of riding the waves with no luck, Michael finally caught a baracuda.....and yes we ate it that night. Posted by Picasa
